President Obama's Inauguration.

Hello I am cbgbyo65 as you may know and I am here to talk about our new president Barack Obama's inauguration that recently happened.If you dontknow what the inauguration is it is the day where the new president offcially becomes president of the United States and it is a whole big celebration with parade's.Now what I thought was very cool about the celebration was the big speech that President Barrack Obama said at the Inauguration.I tought that was a very important speech and really said a lot about what we have to do and what it will be like in the near future.Also I would like to say that the other speech's made by others who were there were also very important.So in my opinion this was a historical day in America and will always be remembered.

Is Global Warming going to hurt our forests?

Hello as you may know my name is cbgbyo65 and today I will be talking about how Global Warming might be hurting our forest's.The trees that most seem to be dying are Pine, Firs, and Hemlock's.There are many possiple reason's why this could be happening like o-zone related air pollution, long-term effect's of fire suppression, and normal forest dymatic.This has been happening most often in California with the highest death rate, and with most of those tree's being Pine.There is still not an exact reason for this event yet.I've got this information from cnn/technology.com ,but in my opinion I would say it is from the o-zone pollution and focus on that.

Dirty snow causes early runoff in Cascades, Rockies

Hello I am cbgbyo65 giving you some information about a current event that is happening in Cascades.It seems to be that soot from pollution causes winter snow packs to warm, shrink , and warm some more.This cycle that keeps goin on sends melted snow streaming down mountains,but this is coming way to early maybe a month early.This is all coming from pollution, Global warming .The melting of snow is coming way to early.I got this information from brightsurf.com.If you want my opinion do something quick before everything starts melting and major flooding happens.

Unexpected discovery about the earth's core.

Hello,Im cbgbyo65 and I will be talking about a current event that I call An unexpected discovery about the earth's core.Scientist's in seweden are saying that iron under extremly high pressure such as found in the inner earth take's unexpected propertie's, and this is important to understand the movement's in the earth "such as earthquake's".This happen's because the iron atom's in a piece of iron in room tempature are packed according to a certaint structure.In this case called body centered cubic or bcc.That means the atoms are relatively sparsely packed.When the iron is in greater pressure the atoms place them selve's differently in relation to each other and take another structure so called as the hexagonal close packed or hcp.That make's it more densely packed.so the higher the tempature and pressure the more stable the hexagonal close packed structure will be.In my opinion this could be wrong because they have also shown that iron unexpectedly revert's to bcc structure at extreme pressure's and tempature's.I found this information at brightsurf.com.

Burying the greenhouse gas

Hello, as you may know my name is cbgbyo65 and I will be talking about a current event about scientist trying to bury the greenhouse gas.Now some of the scientist ideas to solve global warming was to actually bury carbon dioxide.They are trying to see if they can capture the carbon dioxide from things like electric power plants and inject it into the ground.This may help prevent global warming,but now what is the effect in the ground?I've got this information from brightsurf.com.Now though this could help prevent global warming if I was a scientist I would first try other ideas,and test what effects the carbon dioxied would have in the ground before I start injecting carbon dioxide into the ground.

Producer, Consumers, and Decomposers

hello I'm cbgyo65 and The topic that I will be talking about today is going to be producers, consumers, and decomposer's.Three interesting things I learned about this topic is that producers only get eaten they don't eat at all well actually they are able to make their own food with out going out to find it. But consumers have to go out and find there food like to eat plants (producers).Then decomposer's brake down all the consumer's and producers that are now dead to create nutrients and bring back producers .Two other interesting facts that I learned from another source is that another word for producers is autotroph an another word for consumer is heterotroph. I got those pieces of information from http://www.uic.edu/classes/bios/bios101/ecosys/sld009.htm.In my opinion I would think it would be better to be a autotroph because you wouldn't have to hunt or kill anything you have an advantage.

Ecosystem Class Response

The class response that I am doing is about the ecosystem.I learned new interesting facts about a ecosytem like how it is living and nonliving interacting ,basically anywhere could be a eycosystem , and how the living organisms and non living organism's use each other to survive.I also learned more information like how organism's use each other to survive, like how the animal's in the desert use the sand and dig whole's and sleep in there were it is cooler at night. Also how cactus can soak up water and save it.I've got this last two piece's of information from http://www.brainpop.com/science/ecologyandbehavior/ecosystems/. My opinion on this subject is that for different place's there are "in a way" different ecosytem.Like the desert human's would not be able to survive in there for long they dont have or do half of the stuff that the animal's do to survive in the desert , they would only really be able to survive in their own ecosytem.
